This is one of the most asinine studies I’ve ever heard of. Intelligence is how quickly and efficiently we learn. It has nothing at all to do with an individual’s taste in the arts.

I got a 2250 on the refined score. I think that translates into a 1430 or so, and my Favorites are the Beatles. I don’t think this is a particularly good study because it does not count the musical transitions of substance and style. Sure bands like The Beatles may have started out poppy and boy-meets-girl-obsessed but they transcended into something unlike any other seen musically in recent times. The same could be said for MANY artists on this list. Except Lil’ Wayne, his rap is average at best, but I guess compared to the absolute SHIT that the industry is cranking out now he is good by those terms and those only.

The alternative to ?￠a???“helping them help themselves?￠a???? is to attempt to overthrow them. In order to do this we would have to find a way to inconspicuously control those who are in control, gain their trust, and destroy them from within, which will never happen because in order to be that conniving and manipulative we would have to become what we hate. Which would not only be hypocritical, but will never happen on a big enough scale to make a difference. So bitching about it is pointless. The real solution is to just uphold high moral standards. That’s really the best solution to everything.
