I’m shocked at this list. I’m 15 and I scored a 1530 on it this year. I listen to a lot of bands like The Postal Service, Foo Fighters, and Maroon 5. It’s a little surprising how this graph turned out.

this study is an example of how to draw conclusions without any evidence. the person who did the study merely qualified taste in music as smart and not smart. Affirmative action has nothing to do with SAT scores. Economic situations, ethnic background and exposure to music have more to do with musical taste than intelligence. Intelligence is a completely separate category that reflect completely different factors like genes, education, and comprehension of abstract ideas.

I think what we’re looking at here is race (by musical choice) vs SAT scores. I’m guessing non-native asians (many whom probably listen to music of their cultural ethnicity that wasn’t put down as a choice) are amongst the majority who selected Beethoven.
